Founded in 1958, by David Wilkerson, Teen Challenge has grown exponentially over the last half century to become the most successful Drug and Alcohol rehabilitation program in the United States. The foundation of the program is quite simple. We at Teen Challenge believe that lasting change can only be achieved through a right and reverent relationship with Jesus Christ. In 1979, a group of concerned citizens in the Nashville area noticed a growing problem among the youth and realized that there was a desperate need for guidance and direction if the next generation was to prosper.
