Founded in 1958, by David Wilkerson, Teen Challenge has grown exponentially over the last half century to become the most successful Drug and Alcohol rehabilitation program in the United States. The foundation of the program is quite simple. We at Teen Challenge believe that lasting change can only be achieved through a right and reverent relationship with Jesus Christ. In 1979, a group of concerned citizens in the Nashville area noticed a growing problem among the youth and realized that there was a desperate need for guidance and direction if the next generation was to prosper. As a result, Teen Challenge Nashville   was established. In our thirty year history, we have, with Divine assistance, helped shape and redirect the lives of many individuals who came to us beaten, broken, lost, and spiritually dead. Today, with both a men’s and women’s center, Teen challenge Nashville gives residence to several men and women who have expressed a genuine desire to change their lives, cast off their former ways, and press diligently onward, toward a life that is mentally, physically, and spiritually sound. Welcome to my Web site!

Program - Our programs have been developed to encourage the student to cope with everyday life issues. Students typically rise early and have little free time.  They work on virtues:

  • Spiritually: Teen Challenge knows that the student's symptoms are indicative of deeper problems and conflicts; we understand that a new life in Christ will give them the power and ability to overcome these problems and live a more productive life.
  • Emotionally: The healing of past abuses is necessary. Bible studies enhance mental growth and serve as a foundation for creating new lives.
  • Physically: We care for the physical needs of the students. These needs--a drug-free environment, food, recreation, etc--are key factors to the student's success in the program.
  • Socially: Students learn to work through relationship problems with their peers and with their families at home. They will learn to apply the character qualities they learn in the classroom to their everyday lives.
  • Educationally: Teen Challenge has developed a curriculum specifically designed to teach students about God and help them develop the skills required for them to become successful Christians. Adolescent centers provide secondary education, while some adult centers offer GED programs

Rev. and Mrs. Billy Graham endorse Teen Challenge
“I’ve believed in this ministry since its very beginning. And I continue to support it. I consider it a real privilege to endorse this work. Thank God for Teen Challenge!”
- Rev. Billy Graham
“We have long been aware of the tremendous ministry of Teen Challenge. I consider it a real privilege to endorse this work. Thank God for places like Teen Challenge that not only understand the problem, but know God, who can set young people free and transform them into whole, useful, caring people.”
- Ruth Graham
