Induction.................................................................................................... During the Induction Phase, residents follow strict rules and discipline. All residents adhere to a daily schedule which includes chapel, Bible study, work assignments, character development training, exercise, and group recreation. Evenings are filled with Christian activities or worship at local churches in the Nashville area, speakers, or houseguests who teach or share.
In some instances, new students are transported to another Teen Challenge center where they do not have known connections to buy controlling substances. This is sometimes the best step for breaking addiction.
Training......................................................................................................... After four to six months in the induction phase, students progress into discipleship training. During the training phase, resi-dents study a discipleship curriculum to help them apply the truths of Scripture to the struggles they face in order to grow in their relationships with God and to experience growing freedom from their life-controlling problems. Students receive academic and vocational training, as well as instruction on embracing personal responsibility, accountability, and concern for others.
Re-Entry........................................................................................................... By the time most residents have gone through induction and training they are anxious to return to the mainstream. The re-entry phase prepares the Teen Challenge graduate by providing counseling, assistance in securing local church fellowship, and in finding housing and a job.
Successful Teen Challenge students experience how to become MORE THAN CONQUERORS over their life-controlling problems. Not only do they see their lives changed by God’s unconditional love and hope, but also they discover how to share God’s hope and healing to others as disciples of Christ.
